To remember Newton's Laws just remember Newton was a L-I-A-R.
L- is for Laws, duh.
I- is for Inertia.
The first law is the law of inertia: stuff in motion stays in motion and stuff at rest stays at rest. (without any external forces).
Limp Bizkit wrote a song about this Law: "Keep rollin' rollin' rollin' rollin' Now I know ya'll be lovin this shit right here L.I.M.P Bizkit is right here" Apparently Fred Durst loves his Newtonian physics.
A - is for Acceleration. It's just the equation below but its muy importante.
The second law is the law of acceleration or more important the equation of acceleration.
Fnet = m*a
R - is for Reciprocity. This one's a pain in the a.
Every action has an equal and opposite reaction is the third law. It's like when I slapped my buddy in the face (action) and he punched me in the gut (opposite reaction).
Here its key to remember that every force is caused by one object acting on another. So every Force or F you should always be able to describe as "the force of object A on object B". So this law says that for any force of object A on object B (Fab) there's an equal and opposite force of object B on A (Fba). In equation form Fab = -Fba
